Summer Camp

We sent Ethan off for his first summer camp experience this weekend!!  This is his first time at a sleep-away camp and the longest I've ever been away from him, sure gonna miss him! (Silly me went into his room this morning before remembering he wasn't there.:)    He's at a great camp in the rural hills of Georgia and one that we are very familiar with.  We're so excited for him and of course hoping he has the best time!!
 Ready to go ~

Can't wait to pick him up and hear all about his time away!!  We'll have a long ride home so that will give us a chance to hear the details ~ if he's not too tired. :)

Wow -- looks like a wonderful place! Am sure he will have an amazing time. Did his little brother want to go too? My oldest LOVED summer camp and eventually became a camp counselor -- lots of fun, I'm sure!

Hope you have a great week!

Oh I bet he is having a blast!!!! The camp looks fabulous. I will never forget when my boys first went to sleep-away camp (and they went together). I had a hard time for the first few days. I missed them so much and I was a little anxious.

They have told us that their camp is their most favorite place on earth. They grow so much there every year. It is a GREAT experience. I hope Ethan loves it as just as much!!! hugs to you. He'll be home before you know it. My boys go the first week of August!

You are half way through the week! I am sure he is having a wonderful time and I hope you have received a letter telling you so. My son loves his 7 weeks at camp. He feels like's it's his place to be exactly who he is. They rarely get that chance today as a 14 year old and we are thrilled to provide him the opportunity. He is already talking about working at his camp when he is 16 and beyond. Sounds like the perfect summer job!

Looks like a great camp! I am sure you are still hearing stories from camp, even now. My son came back at the end of August, and I am still hearing stories about it. Everyday it's a little something different. I am glad to see that Rich Morell and all the other campers had such a great impact on him. He's already counting down the days till he goes back (for longer this time).
Thanks for sharing your pictures!
